    Shuumi Land Tax

I pay what’s called Shuumi Land Tax every year to the Sogorea Te’ Land Trust. This is a contribution that non-Indigenous people living on traditional Lisjan Ohlone territory can make to support the returning of Indigenous land to Indigenous people.

    Rainforest Trust & other donations

For years, I donated $5 per session to the Rainforest Trust. This project offset the equivalent of about 4000 American lifetime carbon footprints, saved millions of trees, and protected dozens of endangered species. I now continue to support the Rainforest Trust as well as a variety of other organizations.
